Our Message
Gresham Park Christian Church Est 1963
We ARE...."thankful" that we are even here by God's Grace. He's brought us together as a body of believers to exalt His son, Jesus Christ, the One whose death and resurrection gives us peace with God and the hope of Heaven. His Grace, and Mercy is the common thread that binds us as one body.
We ARE...all members of ONE body. It is our common goal to seek to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace
(Ephesians 4:3). As a light in our community, we serve as a refuge for those in chaos, a place of forgiveness for the guilty, and a place of hopefor the hopeless.
ARE...a Church as mandated by God, and revealed in His Word. It is His designation for the assembly of people called by His name. As such, our course has been chartered by God; our destiny has been planned by God; our members have been chosen by God; our purposes have been defined by God.
It is our sincere prayer that you will find God's grace among us, and we will live up to all that he has called us to be.
God is Sovereign
We believe we were created by our God to love, serve, and enjoy endless fellowship
with him. The New Testament reveals it was Jesus Himself who created everything
(John 1:3, Colossians 1:16). Therefore, He also owns and rules everything (Psalms 103:19). That means He has authority over our lives and we owe Him absolute allegiance, obedience, and worship.
God is Holy
Then Peter said unto them. Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:38); therefore He cannot commit or approve of evil (James 1:13). God requires holiness of us as well. 1 Peter 1:16 says,You shall be holy, for I am holy.
Jesus is Lord and Savior
Romans 10:9 says, if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your Heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Even though God's justice demands death for sin, his love has provided a Savior who paid the penalty and died for sinners (1 Peter 3:18). Christ's death satisfied the demands of God's justice, and Christ perfect life satisfied the demands of God's holiness (2 Cor. 5:21) thereby enabling Him to forgive and save those who place their faith in Him (Romans 3:26).
